Healthy Start is a program to promote
optimal health and development for all babies and pregnant women in
Wakulla County. We are part of the Capital
Area Healthy Start Coalition. The Healthy Start program wants to help
ensure access to care and provide support to families in reducing
identified risk factors in our community.
Services include childbirth and parenting
education, breastfeeding education, information on baby spacing,
ideas for eating healthy, smoking cessation education and support,
and home visits.

Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition (CAHSC)
has joined the Florida SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Alliance to launch
